<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disc substrate that exhibits excellent optical properties such as birefringence and the like, correctly transcripts highly dense information signals such as grooves, pits and the like, and exhibits an excellent folding property while having properties as an information recording medium such as flatness, rigidity, less warpage and less wobbling when vibrated, and a resin composition as a material therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The aromatic polycarbonate resin composition comprises essentially (A) an aromatic polycarbonate (polymer A) constituted of a dihydric phenol component consisting essentially of 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane (component a) and (B) an aromatic polycarbonate copolymer (polymer B) constituted of a dihydric phenol component consisting essentially of (b-1) 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane (component b-1) and (b-2) 4,4'-(m-phenylenediisopropylidene)diphenol and/or 2,2-bis(3-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propane (component b-2) with the ratio of the component b-1 to the component b-2 of 99:1 to 5:95, where the weight ratio of the polymer A to the polymer B (polymer A:polymer B) is 99:1 to 50:50.
