PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure for restraining deflection of a grille, and absorbing shock applied to the grille. SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure 11 has a front grille 111 in which an oblong opening is formed, and a grille bracket 112 that is disposed at a back face of the front grille 111 and in which a vertical stay 126 extending in a vertical direction (direction of arrow b1) is provided at a support stay 125 supported to a vehicle body 18 side. The vertical stays 126 are jointed by a joint stay 127 jointing the left and right. The support stay 125 comprises a buckling stay part 131 jointed to a front bulk head 16 to extend, and a horizontal stay part 132 continuing to the bent stay part 131 and jointed to the vertical stay 126.
