<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion picture generation device and a motion picture generation method which record an image and a sound without incurring deviation between them. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The motion picture generation device includes: a storage means for storing video data and first sound data recorded in a first sound recording condition; a detection means for detecting a data range corresponding to a predetermined data range of the first sound data from among second sound data recorded in a second sound recording condition different from the first sound recording condition; and a motion picture generation means for generating motion picture data obtained by synchronously relating the video data with the second sound data based on a detection result detected by the detection means.
