PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluid jetting apparatus which hardly causes the problem that fluids cannot be appropriately jetted from nozzles. SOLUTION: The fluid jetting apparatus has a head 42 for jetting inks from the nozzles to a medium and an air nozzle 72 for jetting air on a carriage 48. The air is jetted from the air nozzle to a nozzle surface 46 of the head, thereby controlling the movement of foreign substances to the nozzle surface 46 of the head. An amount of the foreign substances adhered to the nozzle surface is remarkably reduced. The nozzles are prevented from being clogged by the foreign substances, and the problem that the fluids cannot be appropriately jetted from the nozzles is hardly caused.
