PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hearing protection device without causing any auditory disorder in a person, who performs inspection, by limiting a sound pressure signal by interposing a sound pressure signal limiting means between an amplifier on the market and headphones on the market. SOLUTION: The sound pressure signal limiting means 22 is arranged between an intervening plug 13 and an intervening jack 14 of a relay adapter 12, wherein the intervening plug 13 is connected to an output jack 2 that the amplifier 1 incorporated in an object of audition such as a microphone has, and the intervening jack 14 is connected to an input plug 5 that the headphones have. The sound pressure signal limiting means 22 comprises a voltage doubler rectifier circuit connected to the intervening plug 13, an LED emitting light on receiving the output of the voltage doubler rectifier circuit, and a photoconductor connected to the intervening jack 14 so as to receive the light emitted by the LED and decrease in resistance value according to an increase in photodetection amount.
