PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in radio communication by optimizing switching of antennas of receivers in diversity communication systems. SOLUTION: A packet, which has second unique words A, B corresponding to the antennas 11a, 11b, is transmitted from a transmitter. A diversity receiver selects the antenna 11a, receives a first unique word A, and detects the bit error. After that, the diversity receiver selects the antenna 11b, receives a first unique word B, and detects the bit error. Then, the diversity receiver selects an antenna having a small bit error rate, and receives a radio signal at a payload section to complete 1-packet communication. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
