PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device attachable/detachable of a lens unit and a body unit, wherein an optical axis can be tilted without moving the body unit, an imaging element can be rotated around the optical axis together with the lens unit, and a photographer can freely take a posture and hold the imaging device during photographing at various angles. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided at least with the lens unit 20 having an optical system and an imaging element fixed to the optical system, the body unit 10 holding the lens unit a freely detachable manner and an adapter 30 for an imaging device. An optical axis of the optical system and the imaging element form an inclination with respect to the body unit, and the lens unit has a movable area so that the imaging element can be rotated with respect to the optical axis. The adapter 30 for an imaging device is composed of a connection part 33 to the lens unit and a connection part 34 to the body unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
