PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of surely reducing the glares without reducing the quantity of light irradiated. SOLUTION: The auxiliary reflecting surface 361 of a glare cut cap 34, which intercepts direct light emitted from the center 324 of a high-luminance lamp 32 for reducing the glare reflects, intercepted light to a reflector 25, and light reflected by the reflector 25 is irradiated. At this time, the shape of the auxiliary reflecting surface 361 is formed into a paraboloid, having the center 324 of the high-luminance lamp 32 as a focus, and the axis 362 of the paraboloid is tilted with respect to the center axis 325 of the high luminance lamp 32 within a range of larger than 0°and less than 90°; and the reflected light reflected by the auxiliary reflecting surface 361 is thereby prevented from returning to the high-luminance lamp 32. As a result, since light emitted from the high-luminance lamp 32 is all reflected by the reflector 25 and irradiated from a luminaire 10, glares can be reduced by preventing the quantity of light from being reduced.
