Method and apparatus for producing a grid electrode for a rechargeable lead battery, in particular for a starter battery for starting the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. First, a grid substrate is produced in accordance with the conventional method by means of drop-casting, rotary casting, by drawing out a slotted metal sheet or by stamping a metal sheet, which is pasted with an active compound, which is then left to mature. The arrangement thus formed is negatively formed and then brought to the desired thickness by the exertion of pressure. |
