The valve block (10) has a flat attachment surface (18) that fastens the block to a carrier. An edge-open recess (24) is provided in the attachment surface. A mounting strap (22) is inserted into the recess over an edge opening (28), and has an insertion section and a mounting section that laterally projects the attachment surface. The recess and the strap have guides (36) e.g. bars or grooves, running in an insertion direction (30) of the strap. The mounting section is provided with a slotted hole. The strap is formed as mirror-symmetrical with respect to a center plane of the strap.
