An overmodulation PWM control section (200) includes a voltage amplitude operating section (245) for operating the voltage command amplitude (VA) of original commands (Vd#, Vq#) based on current feedback control, a voltage amplitude correcting section (270) performing linear compensation of the voltage command amplitude such that the fundamental amplitude of a pulse width modulated voltage output from an inverter (14) matches the original voltage command amplitude (VA), and a harmonic wave judgment section (300) for judging overlap of a tertiary harmonic wave component on a phase voltage command. The harmonic wave judgment section (300) switches overlap and non-overlap of a tertiary harmonic wave component based on transition of the original voltage command amplitude (VA) to avoid passing through change points predetermined, respectively, for overlap and non-overlap of a tertiary harmonic wave component and at which voltage amplitude characteristics representative of relation between the fundamental amplitude and a voltage command amplitude required for achieving that fundamental amplitude become discontinuous.
|
