A CAMSHAFT SPLIT DEVICE

PURPOSE: A split device for large cam shafts is provided to maximize the assembling efficiency of a cam shaft by increasing the productivity per unit hours. CONSTITUTION: A split device for large cam shafts divides a cam shaft at a cam angle. The split device comprises a block(210) and a protractor(220). A groove(212) of fixed depth is formed on the bottom of the block. The protractor is composed of a body(222), a split plate(224), and a pointer(226). The body is fixed to the upper end of the block. The split plate is supported on the body to rotate. An angular indexing display is instituted in the outer circumference of the split plate. The indicating needle is fixed to one side of the body. The pointer indicates the angle which is marked on the split plate.
