<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an HVAC device including a noise-reducing means. <P>SOLUTION: This HVAC device includes a housing including at least one wall, an air flow path defined at least partially by this wall, and a door disposed in the air flow path. The door is configured to block a flow of air through the air flow path when the door is in a closed position, and allow the flow of air through the air flow path when the door is not in the closed position. A gap is formed between the door and the wall when the door is not in the closed position. The noise-reducing means is arranged on at least a portion of the wall, and distributes, into several smaller structures, an air flow formed when air flowing through the gap contacts an end of the door, thereby reducing air vibration in the gap and reducing noise of the HVAC device during operation thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
