<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal that effectively supports input operation by a user, by controlling to facilitate visual discrimination of a lighting condition of a touch sensor backlight. <P>SOLUTION: In the portable terminal, a touch sensor as an operation means and the touch sensor backlight for illuminating the touch sensor are mounted.
