<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera having both trackability to an object having a designated color and operability upon changing hue. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 16 of the electronic camera 10 has an imaging surface for capturing a field and repeatedly outputs a field image. A CPU 30 repeatedly determines whether the field image output from the imaging apparatus has a designated color image, and adjusts an imaging parameter with reference to the designated color image when the result is affirmative. Moreover, the CPU 30 permits a hue change operation, based on a negative result of determining the presence/absence of the designated color image, and changes the hue of the field image output from the imaging apparatus 16 in response to the permitted hue change operation.
