PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-processor computer, a method for guaranteeing cache consistency, and a program for improving performance of a computer by suppressing the number of unnecessary cache clearances in guaranteeing the cache consistency. SOLUTION: In the multi-processor computer 11 provided with a main memory 4, processors 10-1 to N, and cache memories 2-1 to N, the main memory 4 stores information as resources 10-1 to M. Each of the processors use information for identifying a processor which has updated a resource to be accessed last when one of the processors accesses one resource by exclusive control to clear cache memories on the basis of the time t1 when the resource to be accessed is last updated, the latest time t2 when the cache memory of the processor that has last updated the resource to be accessed is cleared, and the latest time t3 when a cache memory of the processor is cleared.
