PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump effectively preventing generation of a backflow area in a pump flow passage, increasing the flow rate and flow speed of fuel by promoting formation of a swirl flow, and improving pump efficiency. SOLUTION: This fuel pump includes: a disk-shaped rotating member having a seal portion on an outer peripheral edge and vanes 32 on its inner periphery; and flow passage members 40, 50 rotatably storing the rotating member, and having a pump groove 42 circular-arcuately formed along the vane and forming a pump flow passage 11 formed with a fuel inlet 51 and a fuel outlet 41. By rotating the rotating member, fuel sucked from the fuel inlet 51 is discharged from the fuel outlet 41 through the pump flow passage 11. A C-shaped core ring 60 having a cross-sectional center made almost coincident with the center of the swirl flow generated in the pump flow passage 11 is provided inside of the pump flow passage 11 between the fuel inlet 51 and the fuel outlet 41.
