PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of accurately correcting an amount of skew even if an intermediate transfer medium is skewed. SOLUTION: The printing device includes: an image forming part printing an image on the intermediate transfer sheet; a transferring part transferring the image printed on the intermediate transfer sheet on a card by the image forming part; a sheet transferring mechanism transferring the intermediate transfer sheet from the image forming part to the transferring part; a card transferring mechanism transferring a card C to the transferring part; a line sensor detecting a position of a mark given to the intermediate transfer sheet transferred by the sheet transferring mechanism; a posture changing mechanism 503 changing the posture of the card C; and a controlling part for calculating the amount of the skew of the intermediate transferring sheet transferred by the sheet transferring mechanism from the position of the mark detected by the line sensor and controlling the posture changing mechanism 503 so as to change the posture of the card C accordingly to the amount of the calculated amount of the skew.
