<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detecting method and a motion detecting apparatus or the like for achieving the motion detection at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A motion vector detecting portion 106 is provided with an error calculating portion 202 to calculate the error SAD1 to the error SAD9 between a target block data tar_img and a reference block data ref_img near 9 each, an error minimum block deciding portion 203 to decide the error minimum block whose error becomes minimum among the error SAD1 to the error SAD9 and to output the motion vector mvmin of the position, an end judging portion 204 to judge whether the motion detection is ended or not, and a search center deciding portion 205 to decide the reference block to become the search center followed so as for a moving volume of the reference block forming the search center to be 2 pixels and more according to the position of the error minimum block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
