The saw has a carrier (1) forming a workpiece support surface (2), which includes a preset width transverse to a saw cut direction. An additional stop (14) is arranged at a workpiece stop (6) in a right side and/or a left side of a saw unit (4). The additional stop is provided adjacent to the saw unit in an initial position and provided far from the saw unit in a distance position, where a free end of the additional stop passes upto a height of the support surface. The workpiece stop extends transverse to the direction in middle of the initial position of the saw unit on the support surface. |
