<p>The arrangement (1) comprises a medium (3) with living species e.g. algae, a lighting device to supply and/or distribute light (2) into the medium, a feeding device to supply carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons, a control device (S) for controlling and/or regulating pH-value of the medium and/or for controlling the feeding device and/or the supply of the carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons, and a measuring device (M) to detect the pH-value. The control device is formed to control the supply of the carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons in dependent of the detected pH-value. The arrangement (1) comprises a medium (3) with living species e.g. algae, a lighting device for supplying and/or distributing light (2) into the medium, a feeding device for supplying carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons, a control device (S) for controlling and/or regulating pH-value of the medium and/or for controlling the feeding device and/or the supply of the carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons, and a measuring device (M) for detecting the pH-value of the medium. The control device is formed for controlling the supply of the carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons in dependent of the detected pH-value, so that the pH-value of the medium is cyclically varied and/or is 7-8. The control device is formed for regulating the pH-value of the medium by varying and/or interrupting the supply of the carbon dioxide and/or other hydrocarbons.
