<p>The speed limiter (1), especially for lifts and elevators, has a limit wheel (3) with a locking crown (5) and a cam wheel (7) with a cam (8). The locking crown has a number of catch pockets (11) separated by catch cams (13). The catch cams have two catch edges (23). The locking pawl (19) has a catch projection (20) with two catch flanks (24,25), each with a lower end edge (27) connected by a concave lower projection surface (29). The lower edges and lower surface of the projection match the radius of a circle described by the outer surfaces of the catch cams and catch edges so that when the lower edge of the catch flank enters the catch pocket it intersects the circle as the first element of the catch projection.</p> |
