A cushioning device 1a has a fitting recess 10a fitted with a longitudinal one end portion 2a of an indoor unit 2. This cushioning device 1a is arranged so that, when the one end portion 2a of the indoor unit 2 is fitted with the fitting recess 10a, a recess 15a is formed at a bottom portion 15 in a fitting recess 10a to oppose an edge portion 221a of a lower cover member 22a which extends along the length of the indoor unit 2 and is on the lower side of the indoor unit 2 when wall mounted, and a recess 15b is formed at the bottom portion 15 in the fitting recess 10a to oppose an edge portion of an upper cover member 22b which extends along the length of the indoor unit 2 and is on the upper side of the indoor unit 2 when wall mounted.
