PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adiposity inhibitor capable of exhibiting excellent activities for inhibiting adiposity, and having high safety by including quercitrin as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This inhibitor contains quercitrin as an active ingredient. The quercitrin can be mainly obtained from a natural product such as a plant. The daily dose of the adiposity inhibitor or the antiobestic agent containing the quercitrin as an active ingredient is 0.5-5,000 mg per adult or 0.5-3,000 mg per child expressed in terms of the active ingredient. The adiposity inhibitor or the antiobestic agent can be formulated with a food or a pet food as a food additive. When the inhibitor is formulated with the food or the pet food, 0.001-15 wt.% inhibitor expressed in terms of the active ingredient based on the whole weight of the food is preferably formulated therewith. As a result, the objective drug expected to have excellent effects and high safety is provided. |
