The device (1) has a display rod (10) in a confinement chamber (20) with a neck (21), where the rod has a portion (12) forming a gripping head (12) to close the neck in a rest configuration such that a porous portion (11) is, at interior of the chamber, in a zone, where the fragrance is at gaseous state. Constitutive materials e.g. pumice stone, of the rod under the head and the chamber are free from individual odor. The porous portion is extended to a free end of the rod and is filled with fragrance. An independent claim is also included for a method for preserving and returning a given fragrance e.g. perfume.
