The present disclosure relates to a block (10) for repairing a road surface wherein the block (10) includes at least one portion (31) of precompressed asphalt. The present disclosure also relates to a method for the production of a block (10) suitable for repairing an asphalt road surface. The method comprises the steps of prearranging a mould (22) having a shape corresponding to the portion (31) of precompressed asphalt to be obtained; pouring into the mould (22) a mass (M) of asphalt; subjecting the mass (M) to compression, so as to obtain the portion (31) of precompressed asphalt, and removing the portion (31) from the mould (22).
