<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excitation control unit of a generator capable of preventing the generator from being overexcited even if a generator voltage signal that is a feedback signal to an exciting arrangement is lost in activation. <P>SOLUTION: A generator voltage determination section 11 determines that the generator has been started when a generator voltage is equal to a prescribed value or smaller, and the activation of the generator has been completed when the generator voltage exceeds the prescribed value. An ignition pulse is given to the thyristor of the exciting arrangement from an ignition pulse generation section 17 for controlling the excitation voltage. However, normal control is made by giving a first lower-limit valueα1 to an ignition angle limit section 16 during the activation of the generator so that a command pulse angleθc does not go below the first lower-limit valueα1 to prevent the generator from being overexcited, or by giving a second lower-limit valueα2 that is smaller than the first oneα1 and can prevent the commutation fail of the thyristor to the ignition angle limit section 16 so that the command pulse angleθc given to the ignition pulse generation section 17 does not go below the second lower-limit valueα2 when the activation of the generator has been completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
