METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE EFFICIENCY AND TORQUE OF RUNNING MOTORS

PURPOSE: A method for calculating the efficiency and torque of a motor is provided to improve the energy efficiency of a system employing a motor by providing information on electric energy loss. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the efficiency and torque of a motor comprises a first step of obtaining the actual rotation speed(NRUN) of the motor and a second step of calculating the operation efficiency of the motor using the actual rotation speed of the motor, rating speed(NMIN) and rating efficiency(ηMAX) transcribed on the name plate of the motor. The second step includes obtaining a transfer function for changing the actual rotation speed of the motor into efficiency data(η'), and calculating the operation efficiency(η) of the motor by multiplying the efficiency data by a correction factor(1-εN).
