PURPOSE: A side component of a vehicle frame is provided to reduce the weight of a vehicle by manufacturing the complex structure of the side component of the frame of a vehicle body with plastic-metal mixed components wholly. CONSTITUTION: A side component of a vehicle frame comprises a roof arch piece, a hole, first frames, a second frame and a reinforcement member. The hole is defined by the vertical piece of a body floor and a central column piece. The first frames are tightly connected to each other to be formed into single piece. The second frame is manufactured from a minimum number of discrete metal sheets. The reinforcement member is formed from plastic which comprise a cavity formed between the first frame and the second frame by the connection. The reinforcement member provides the first and second frames with a tight metal-plastic connection. |
