PURPOSE: A lubrication structure in a piston type compressor is provided to increase the lubrication effect of a thrust bearing in a piston type compressor. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cylinder bores are arranged around a shaft(21) to form cylinder blocks(11,12), a piston is accepted in the cylinder bore and moves in connection with the rotation of the shaft through a cam rotatable integrally with the shaft, and thrust bearings(25,26) are interposed between the cylinder block and the cam. A rotary valve is included which has an intake channel for sucking refrigerant from a suction pressure region to the compression chamber in the cylinder bore by the piston. The refrigerant, returning to a compressor from an external refrigerant circuit, does not pass a cam receiving chamber but directly flows into the path in the shaft. The thrust bearing comprises an annular lace and an armature. The annular lace makes contact with the camp or the cylinder block. The armature hangs on the annular lace. An oil path ranging from the interposed gap of the armature to a window is formed along the outer circumference of the shaft.
