The method involves carrying out mining by two separate mining equipments in steps perpendicular to a tunneling direction. The mining equipments are vertically and horizontally arranged at a distance from each other. Separate lower and upper conveyors (22, 44) are assigned to the mining equipments. One of the mining equipments is operated at overlying strata (10) above less than halves of depth, where the other mining equipment is operated at underlying strata (12) above more than the halves of the depth. An independent claim is also included for a face support frame for implementing a method for mining coal. |
