PURPOSE: A highly efficient power amplification apparatus using a saturated operation and a method thereof are provided to obtain a high efficiency property by extending an operation area to a liner area and a knee area. CONSTITUTION: A saturation power amplifier comprises a power device(110) and an output matching unit(190). The output matching unit matches the load impedance of the power device. The load impedance has complex impedance. The load impedance exceeds the impedance in a power matching operation.
