PURPOSE: A method for operating a dishwasher is provided to prevent steam outputted from a cleaning bath from being leaked to the outside through a gap of a steam path and being condensed. CONSTITUTION: A dishwasher(100) includes a steam path(330), a fan(320), an inlet(200), and an actuator(310). The steam path is formed on the door of a body(110). The fan is formed inside the steam path. The steam of the cleaning bath is inputted to the steam path through the inlet. The actuator opens and closes the inlet. The fan is intermittently stopped.
