PURPOSE: A transmitting device having an MPEG transcoder for changing MPEG2 moving-picture data of a moving-picture storage according to the performance of a controller is provided to simply convert the moving picture data according to the performance of the controller by storing MPEG2 moving picture data or MPEG4 moving picture data. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting apparatus includes a moving picture data transmitter(100) and a moving picture data receiver(110). The moving picture data transmitter converts the moving picture data of a video storage into MPEG4(Moving Picture Experts Group 4) moving picture data. The moving picture data receiver converts MPEG4 moving picture data of the moving picture data transmitter into MPEG2 moving picture data. The moving picture data receiver outputs MPEG2 moving picture data to a moving picture reproduction device. |
