Disclosed is an injectable veterinary composition including a) at least three different calcium salts, and b) an energy source in the form of a sugar characterised in that one of the salts is calcium saccharate. Also disclosed is a method of treating milk fever in non-human animals, the method including administering to the non-human animal the above injectable veterinary composition.
