METHOD FOR REDUCING ADDRESS WASTE IN LOW POWER WIRELESS PERSONAL AREA NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for reducing address waste in a low power wireless personal area network is provided to use an available address in a network freely by allocating the available address to a new node after allowing a coordinator node to extract the available address from other nodes. CONSTITUTION: The location between a new node and a coordinator is confirmed and the new node transmits a subscription request message to the coordinator node(301). If an available address does not exist, the coordinator node transmits the address request message to the parent nodes of the coordinator node(313). If available addresses exist, the coordinator node receives the information on the available addresses(315). Based on the received information on the available address, the coordinator node allocates the addresses to the new node.
