The gear box has an output shaft (3) connected in rotation to an intermediate shaft device, and drive pinions (1.1, 1.2) rotatively connecting the intermediate shaft device to an input shaft. The input shaft is slid axially between switching positions, and one of the drive pinions is in engagement with output pinions (2A.1, 2B.1) of the intermediate shaft device, in one of the positions. The other drive pinion is in engagement with other output pinions (2A.2, 2B.2) of the intermediate shaft device, in the other position.
