<p>A means for prevention of dusting and spread of stench is composed of a water soluble polymer, dissolved in water, with which a dust-developing or stench- spreading substrate is sprinkled. The applied concentration is from 0.1 to 0.5% of water soluble polymer. The polymer is a solid one, without smell, colour and taste. It is harmless to health and unobjectionable from the standpoint of ecology. When dried, it forms an elastic microfilm which covers the substrate. It is applied in dust-developing industries such as timber industry, chicken farms, quarries and processing of wastes. A suitable use exists also in civil engineering to prevent generation of dust in building demolition and in landfills to prevent the spread of dust and stench.</p> |
