PURPOSE: An optical body and a hologram recording and reproducing apparatus comprising the same are provided to enable total internal reflection to occur using the optical body of a hologram recording reproducing device without a separate prism. CONSTITUTION: An optical body(62) comprises a first plate(62a), a second plate(62b) and third and fourth plates(62c, 62d). The second plate is provided on the location facing the first plate. The first and second plates are connected to each other. The third and fourth plates are formed to incline by a given angle to the first and second plates. The laser beam enters the third and fourth plates. The third and fourth plates reflect the laser beam entered. The given angle is in a range of 70-90°.
