PURPOSE: A car photographing system for protecting personal information and a control method thereof are provided to mask a personal information area recognized in an original image, thereby protecting personal information. CONSTITUTION: An area including a car is photographed(S1). A personal information area including at least one of a passenger image area or a number plate image area is recognized from a photographed image(S3). The personal information area is masked(S5). An image in which the personal information area is masked is displayed(S11). An operating state of a car photographing system is displayed. The source image is saved. The reference area is extracted. The extracted reference area as described above is used. The personal information domain is extracted. |
