A retention device (1) that is useful for concrete elements or with construction elements of other rigid materials is disclosed. The device (1) is attached to two adjacent construction elements (60, 61) that restricts out of plane movement between said elements. The device (1) includes at least one finger(4,5,6,7), zero or more slots(8,9) and zero or more notches (10,11) such that each finger (4,5,6,7) is a strip of material configured to slidingly engage with a notch (10,11) or slot (8,9) in at least one other connector(2,3). The connector (2, 3) is configured to be attached to a construction element (60, 61) by a single connection.
