β-GLUCAN-BASED SCAFFOLD FOR BIO-TISSUE ENGINEERING USING RADIATION FUSION TECHNOLOGY AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A beta-glucan-based support for tissue engineering by radiation fusion technology is provided to easily practice biomimic environment which is effective in growth and differentiation of stem cells. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing beta-glucan-based support for tissue engineering by radiation fusion technology comprises: a step of adding beta-glucan into distilled water and dissolving at 30-100°C for 30-200 minutes to obtain 0.1-50 weight% of beta-glucan solution; a step of adding the beta-glucan solution on petri-dish or flat plate and casting; a step of irradiating at 5-50kGy; and a step of performing cross-linking to form gel or solid support. The beta-glucan is schizophyllan extracted from Schizophyllum commune.
