Disclosed is the compound (5-Z)-5-(6-Quinoxalinylmethylidene)-2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino]-1,3-thiazol-4(5H)-one (the compounds pictured in formula (I)), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, or solvate thereof. Also disclosed is the use of this compound for inhibiting hYAK3, for treating deficiencies in hematopoietic cells, and for treating anemia, aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, myelopsuppression, and cytopenia.
