PURPOSE: An air-conditioner is provided to shield the front surface of a front body by a front cover and to neatly form the front appearance of the air-conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioner comprises a rear body(12), a front body(20) which is arranged on the front of the rear body and wherein an air outlet is formed on the front surface of the upper part of the front body and an air inlet(6) is formed in the lower part of the front body, a front cover(30) which is arranged on the front of the front body and includes a size which is able to shield the front surface of the front body including the air outlet, and a front cover lifting mechanism which opens the air outlet by decreasing the front cover or shields the air outlet by rising up the front cover. The distance between the rear body and an indoor floor is larger than the height of the air outlet. The size of the front cover is same or larger than the front body.
