Combinations comprising antimuscarinic agents and PDE4 inhibitors

Disclosed is a combination comprising the M3 muscarinic receptor antagonist (3R)-1-phenethyl-3-(9H-xanthene-9carbonyloxy)-1-azoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, in the form of a salt with a pharmaceutically acceptable anion or a mono or polyvalent acid, and a PDE4 inhibitor. Also disclosed is the use of the above combination for treating a respiratory disease which responds to M3 antagonism, such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
