A process for decision making within an organisation comprises the following steps: a) recording in a computer system a proposed decision of a person or people employed within the organisation; b) the computer system prompting a human user to input answers to questions related to the proposed decision and receiving and recording such answers; c) the computer system, based on the answers, determining and recording a degree of importance for the proposed decision; d) the computer system recording therein a challenge period for the proposed decision wherein the challenge period is allocated by the computer system dependent on the degree of importance corresponding to the proposed decision; e) the computer system searching to see whether any challenges to the proposed decision have been logged by a person or people within the challenge period and: i) if the computer system detects that no such challenge has been logged then it records and communicates a released for implementation indicator against the proposed decision; and ii) if the computer system detects that such challenge has been logged then it records and communicates a not released for implementation indicator against the proposed decision.
