DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECOMMENDATION OF CONTENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively recommend contents to a user from the operation initial stage of services by using a method not depending on the viewing history of the user.

SOLUTION: The content recommendation device includes: a memory which stores two or more pieces of content information describing identifiers and usage characteristics of a plurality of resources used in each of a plurality of contents; a means for specifying first contents which use at least S pieces of resources in common with a specified content; a means for specifying second contents which use at least K pieces of resources in common with the first contents; a means for calculating relationship levels with the specified content on the basis of the usage characteristics of object resources used in common by the second contents and the first contents for each of the second contents; and a means for selecting recommended contents from the second contents based on the calculated relationship levels.
