摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle having a power distribution mechanism composed of a planetary gear device for distributing motive power of a drive source to a motor and an output shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A damper device 38 is provided in a power transmission path between the power distribution mechanism 16 and a first motor MG1. The damper device 38 receives, therefore, only reaction torque dealt by the first motor MG1 through the power distribution mechanism 16 with respect to drive torque T<SB>E</SB>of an engine 12. Thus, since the torque transmitted to the damper device 38 is smaller than the drive torque T<SB>E</SB>of the engine 12, the torque capacity of the damper device 38 is decreased and the size of the damper device is reduced.
