<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current limiting circuit further appropriately limiting current while reducing a circuit area. <P>SOLUTION: The current limiting circuit includes: a first terminal; a second terminal having potential set lower than that of the first terminal when a load circuit is connected between the first terminal and itself; a first transistor connected between the first terminal and the second terminal and being an n-type MOS transistor; a second transistor connected between the source of the first transistor and the second terminal and being an MOS transistor; a first control circuit for detecting a voltage between the source and the drain of the second transistor and for controlling a first voltage applied to the gate of the first transistor based on the detected detection voltage; and a second control circuit for controlling a second voltage applied to the gate of the second transistor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
