<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is high in front white luminance, can keep uniformity and suppress interference fringes such as moire in a screen, and is adaptable to the reduction of thickness, and to provide a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a backlight includes an optical film having light scattering properties and having 9.5 to 61.5% image clearness value measured through an optical comb having 2 mm width using an image clearness measuring device based on JIS K 7105 between a light source and a liquid crystal cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
